Czy warto obejrzeć Grand Blue? Cóż, po raz pierwszy obejrzałem Grand Blue, kiedy się ukazało, około początku 2018 roku lub pod koniec 2017 roku. Na początku nie spodziewałem się niczego specjalnego, tylko przeciętnej serii anime skupionej wokół jednego konkretnego tematu. Tym razem padło na nurkowanie, które początkowo wzbudziło moje zainteresowanie. Z tego powodu zdecydowałem się spróbować, decyzji, której zdecydowanie nie żałuję. Kiedy Lori tam jest, poznaje nowe postacie, do których przyjdziemy później. Lori nie umie pływać i boi się oceanu, chcąc się tam wydostać i cieszyć się nim, stara się z całych sił przezwyciężyć swój strach i zostać doskonałym nurkiem.
Zabrzmiałoby to trochę nudno, gdyby szkoła nurkowania, w której był, była niczym więcej. Jednak szkoła nurkowania Peekaboo nie jest taka, jak się wydaje. Lori dowiaduje się o tym w pierwszym odcinku i tutaj poznajemy głównych bohaterów.
Główne postacie
Po pierwsze mamy Lori Kituhara student, który zdecydował się przyjechać do szkoły nurkowania w Japonii. Ma konwencjonalne poglądy na temat kobiet, seksu i pracy i lubi pić alkohol. Moim zdaniem Lori wydaje się być dość prostą i zrównoważoną osobą, chce tylko tego, co jest przed nim i ma dobre serce.
Jednak jego głupota jest czymś, co utrzymuje się przez całą serię i jest to charakterystyczna cecha Lori, którą wielu kocha. Nie wydaje się być zainteresowany nurkowaniem i dopiero, gdy Chisa pokaże mu korzyści, naprawdę zdaje sobie sprawę, że to lubi.
Następne jest Chisa Kotegawa który również chodzi do tej samej szkoły nurkowania co Lori w Japonii. Na pierwszy rzut oka, Gniazdo wydaje się być cichą/nieśmiałą osobą, która nie wyraża publicznie swoich emocji. Często ucieka w sytuacjach, które dla niektórych mogą być trudne lub niezręczne.
Jak Lori, jest przyjemną postacią, ale moim zdaniem czasami może być trochę nudna. Okazuje się jednak, że jej głównym zainteresowaniem nie jest płeć przeciwna ani nic innego, ale wyłącznie nurkowanie, i pokazano, że jest bardzo zaangażowana i oddana nurkowaniu.
She even expresses her love for diving to Lori, and this is what makes him overcome his fear of the water. Last but not least is Kouhei Immuhara who is friends with Lori, although they seem to argue a lot of the time. In terms of a narrative POV, Kouhei pomaga Lori w wielu jego eskapadach i czasami jest osobą, która je rozpoczyna.
Działa również jako odbicie między nimi i chociaż cały czas się kłócą, wydają się wspierać się nawzajem, aby oba ich cele w końcu zadziałały. Kouhei jest bardzo przyjemną i zabawną postacią, zwłaszcza gdy jest w zestawie Lori, a to czyni z nich świetny duet komediowy.
Podznaki w kolorze Grand Blue

Nie musisz lubić historii niebieski aby się nim jednak cieszyć, mogę obiecać, że wystarczy jego komediowa wartość.

I’ve said it before but I loved all of the characters in Gand Blue, even minor characters such as the captain from the Tinkerbell tennis team or Nojima and Yamamoto. Each character was so unique and memorable, not just in the way they were illustrated, but in the way they were portrayed and written. Each character had their problems and personal traits which persisted through the series up until the last few episodes.

Jeśli pytasz mnie, myślę, że aktorzy głosowi to zrobili Lori i Kouhei zasługują kurwa Emmy Awards for their work because every last scream, cry and laugh was done to perfection it seems and this made every moment just so enjoyable. Being centred around an activity I used to take part in myself, I found the narrative of Gand Blue pretty interesting and engaging, with the whole narrative of exploring the deep blue sea very intriguing. The narrative alone isn’t really anything special but I liked it nonetheless.
I think even without the diving aspect and some other less unique story (for example a high school (student council)) Gand Blue would still have been extremely funny and enjoyable because most of the comedic sub-stories don’t even have anything to do with diving.
If you’ve seen clips of Gand Blue you’ll know what I mean (the Beauty Pagent Scene, The exam Scene, The Tennis Scene etc). And this to me ultimately proves why Gand Blue is such a good comedy, it doesn’t even need a good story to be hilarious. This all adds to the question of shall I watch Gand Blue?
Wspaniałe konfiguracje
Now I don’t want to give too much away in terms of spoilers for some of the jokes and the punch lines but if you’ve seen the Beauty pageant scene you’ll know what I’m talking about. (Please don’t go looking up that scene just watch the whole series first otherwise it will ruin it.) So shall I watch Gand Blue? I really should have been expecting something like that but it still got me!
I can still watch that scene again and still laugh! Anyway, every time a joke is set up in Gand Blue it’s done with such accuracy that you know when to laugh, no need for some stupid laugh track.

The dialogue in Gand Blue is written very well and even in moments that aren’t even supposed to be funny (I think) I find myself busting out laughing. I’m pretty sure the producers got the perfect voice actors for the job, especially Kouhei and Lori as every word that comes out of their mouths is memorable.

It’s very hard to think of reasons that Gand Blue isn’t worth watching but to start with I’d say that the animation style is pretty dull and definitely nothing special. Does this affect the series and what (the series) is trying to accomplish?
No way, I wouldn’t even really want you to think of this as a reason not to watch Gand Blue but it does run the growing question of shall I watch Gand Blue? The way it’s drawn doesn’t have an impact on the story or the jokes, it’s the way it’s animated that makes it so funny, coupled in with the voice acting and setups.
